Do your kids love raisins? Try making your own at home. Encourage your little chef to observe how grapes change!

  • 2c seedless grapes

  1. Wash grapes. Arrange the clean grapes on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  2. Choice 1: Make raisins the old-fashioned way! Let the grapes dry in the hot sun for 24 hours. Tent a cheesecloth over the baking sheet to keep away flies and bugs.
  3. Choice 2: To make raisins in the oven, bake on low (170F) for 19-20 hours, or until grapes are shriveled but not hard. The grapes should still be slightly juicy in the middle.
  4. Store raisins in the refrigerator and use in recipes or eat!
